Upgrade Campaign

As part of our Year Five celebration, we’re launching a campaign to bring some much-needed enhancements to our headquarters in Detroit Shoreway. Our mission is to support the development of the arts scene through providing opportunities and resources to innovative artists which includes access to rehearsal and performance space, equipment for production, and a safe environment for experimentation. This campaign will ensure that we are able to better serve Cleveland’s artistic community through the following goals.

Renovate entrances & bathroom
to provide better access to Maelstrom for all of our artists and audiences, especially those with limited mobility

Upgrade our recording studio
to better support our new podcast, The Maelstrom Frequency and provide additional audio resources to artists.

Repair our headquarters
focusing on our rehearsal/performance areas as well as updating fixtures in our green room and kitchenette

Maelstrom Wellspring

Maelstrom Wellspring is our Monthly Giving Program that offers a way to make an impact at MCA throughout the entire year. For just a few dollars every month, you can sponsor our ongoing art series like PORTAL and allow us to respond quickly to new ideas and opportunities to serve local artists.

Make an impact all year long

You make the difference

At Maelstrom Collaborative Arts, we are breaking down barriers to creation, exploration and connection in order to build a sustainable, flourishing arts scene

We believe when artists have the freedom to explore and share their experience, they gain the tools to transform not only their own practice, but also our greater artistic community.

We are fostering a new arts ecosystem, one in which artists have the opportunity to create authentic work, improve their skills, and share their vision with Northeast Ohio and beyond.
